The former president's Family Member Receives Professional Advice from Tiger Woods Prior to LPGA First Appearance

Young golfer getting ready for major tournament

The rising star maintains considerable online presence

Kai Trump can count on numerous high-profile supporters when she begins her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to a former US president, obtained a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika competition in Florida.

Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, owns multiple international courses and regularly matches against his granddaughter.

"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she stated.

She mentioned that Trump, who cannot attend, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."

"He basically told me to play and enjoy myself," she explained.

"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He's not attending this weekend. He's occupied with presidential duties, so he's rather occupied."

As an amateur, the golfer has played in only three events in 2024 and holds ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.

Yet she can get advice from 15-time major champion, who is dating Kai's mother.

"He stands as the top athlete globally," Kai stated.

"Furthermore, he's a more impressive individual. He suggested me to go out there, enjoy myself, following the flow."

Kai will face several most prominent players in the sport at the Annika, featuring world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.

Tournament organizers mentioned that Kai's presence exposes the sport to wider groups, particularly among the next generation.

Kai boasts millions of followers and has started her own clothing and lifestyle company.

The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
