Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Prolific writer for children and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions involving women.
The company declined to specify the motivations for this action, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
He has published more than 40 books combined, encompassing a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
