American-Palestinian Youth Liberated Following 270 Days in Israeli Imprisonment

A Palestinian-American teenager having endured 270 days in imprisonment by Israel without being charged has been freed.

The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim had just turned 15 at the time of his arrest last February throughout the West Bank territory, while he was vacationing while residing in Florida under suspicion of rock throwing at Jewish settlers, allegations he repeatedly contested.

The US state department said it welcomed the teenager's freedom.

Now sixteen years old, needed medical care for treatment immediately after release, family members reported.

Family described him as pale, underweight, and is suffering from conditions developed during imprisonment.

In a statement, family spokesperson expressed the family's "immense relief".

Family member Zeyad Kadur described how relatives endured "enduring a dreadful, continuous nightmare" during the entire detention period.

"Currently, we are focused on getting Mohammed the immediate medical attention necessary for his recovery after being subjected to mistreatment by authorities and cruel circumstances throughout his detention."

US officials announced ongoing to provide consular support to Mohammed's family.

{"American leadership has no higher priority than the safety and security of US citizens"," it added.

Several congressional representatives had signed a letter to the state department and President Donald Trump, urging greater action to secure his release.

Mr Ibrahim, parent of four children operating an ice cream shop in Florida, previously claimed Mohammed acknowledged allegations regarding stone throwing after being assaulted by soldiers.

He had not seen nor direct contact since February, receiving updates exclusively about his son's condition in detention through court documents.

Mohammed was held lacking indictment at Ofer detention facility on the West Bank.

Additionally housing grown detainees, some of whom have been convicted for major terrorist activities and homicide.

An estimated 350 Palestinian child security detainees currently imprisoned in Israel, according to the Israeli Prison Service.

Many have never been charged while advocacy organizations, and international organizations, report instances of physical abuse and torture.

Subsequent to his liberation, family representatives announced relatives would persist in advocating seeking justice for their relative Sayfollah Musallet.

The dual national youth who the Palestinian health ministry said succumbed to assault by radical settlers amid clashes in July.

Initially, military authorities reported officials were investigating reports a Palestinian civilian had been killed.

Mohammed and Sayfollah collaborated at their family's ice cream business in Tampa, Florida.

No one has been charged regarding Sayfollah's death.

"We expect the American government to safeguard our relatives," family representatives emphasized.
