On Monday, the tribunal heard call records and information recovered from phones logged Ms Wandelt persistently requesting Madeleine's mother for a genetic test during that period.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - at the age of three during a trip in Portugal - is one of the most covered missing child cases and remains unresolved.

'I Don't Want Money'

One recorded message, shared in court, recorded Ms Wandelt stating: "I know I'm heavy and plain like Madeleine had been, but I know what I know."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's one-way conversations with Mrs McCann's voicemail expressed: "What if there is a slight possibility that I am Madeleine? Then what? Isn't that crucial for you?"

"I don't want money, I have a life here in Poland, I just want to discover," she added.

The tribunal was informed that via electronic messages, SMS messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt asked for a DNA test, sent early photographs to her phone in a attempt to demonstrate a similarity to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and stated to have "recollections" from a childhood with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, an intelligence analyst with the police force who collated the information, informed the court there "didn't appear to be any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore communicated with close associates of the McCanns, as per the call data.

On 9 October 2024, the father answered a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "a wrong number."

On that occasion Ms Wandelt left a message on Mrs McCann's voicemail saying "I will persist and I will prove my position."

Court proceedings
Kate and Gerry McCann provided testimony to the court from using a security measure on Wednesday

The court heard the co-defendant struck up a association via internet with Ms Wandelt preceding assisting her on a appearance to the McCanns' residence in Leicestershire in December 2024.

Call logs revealed Mrs Spragg had communicated through communication app to Mrs McCann to say the media had characterized Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she deserved to be treated respectfully in the months before the appearance to Rothley, Leicestershire, in December 2024.

The court learned message exchanges between the two accused, in November 2024, considering attempting to get Mrs McCann's genetic material from her bins or from utensils at a dining venue.

"We must assert ourselves," the co-defendant advised Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the appearance to their residence, the defendant sent a text which expressed: "We are sitting outside the McCanns' home with our lights out like detectives. I desired to achieve this with another person I didn't imagine I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The proceedings continues.
