Aircraft Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Land in UK Because of Crack in Windshield

An aircraft carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official statement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.

"The aircraft landed following standard procedures and all passengers, among them Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative said in a social media post.

The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to Brussels when the incident occurred.

This incident does not mark the first time that a American defense plane carrying a senior official has experienced mechanical issues.

In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was compelled to head back to Washington after encountering a mechanical fault.
